Alejandra Garcia-Ponce
Founder of Latina Social Club DFW
Hola! I am Alejandra, the founder of Latina Social Club DFW. I was born in Matamoros, Mexico and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. I went to school in Cleveland and got my bachelors in health science and later on I pursued my master in public health in Maine.
When I moved to Texas in March of 2020, like many during the pandemic who moved, I felt siloed and lacked a sense of belonging in a new city.
I get asked, "Why did you start the Latina Social Club in DFW?" The answer is that after four years of not being able to find myself in the social scene, I decided to create my own. I wanted to unite Latinas whether they live in Dallas/Fort Worth or in town visiting and needing something fun to do and create a safe and fun space to come together in a social setting.

I am a firm believer in supporting other women and want to build up and empower Latina women through social events and authentic connections with other Latinas.

I hope to meet you all in person very soon. Nos vemos pronto!
Hola Amigas
We are a small, up-and-coming organization, but would love the opportunity to get to know you and see you at the social events to come.
